* Until 930 AM EDT.



* At 824 AM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near Hamlin Beach,

  moving east at 35 knots.



  HAZARD...Wind gusts to 40 knots.



  SOURCE...Radar.



  IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and 

           suddenly higher waves.



* Locations impacted include...

  Ontario Beach, Irondequoit Bay, Ontario On The Lake, and Hamlin

  Beach.

Move to safe harbor immediately as gusty winds and high waves are

expected.

...WEAK WATERSPOUTS POSSIBLE THIS MORNING...



A marine weather statement has been issued for the coastal waters of 

southeastern louisiana near and to the west of the southwest pass of 

the Mississippi River out 60 NM. 



At 741 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated isolated to scattered showers 

and thunderstorms capable of producing weak waterspouts across the 

coastal waters. These showers and storms are nearly stationary or 

drifting slowly east-southeastward. 



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Dangerous lightning strikes and brief, weak waterspouts are possible

with this activity. Remain on alert in case warnings are issued for

waterspout development.

Breton Sounds as well as the coastal waters from Pascagoula to 

Stake Island out 20 NM. 



At 746 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated isolated to scattered showers 

and thunderstorms across the affected waters capable of producing 

weak waterspouts. These showers and storms are nearly stationary or 

drifting slowly east-southeastward.
