* Until 600 AM EDT.



* At 436 AM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located 18 nm west of

  Stony Point, or 19 nm northwest of Oswego, moving northeast at 25

  knots.



  HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater and small hail.



  SOURCE...Radar.



  IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and 

           suddenly higher waves.



* Locations impacted include...

  Pillar Point, Black River Bay, Sackets Harbor, Henderson Harbor,

  Westcott Beach, Chaumont Bay, and Stony Point.

  Southwestern Butler County in south central Kansas...

  Southeastern Sedgwick County in south central Kansas...



* Until 715 AM CDT.



* At 337 AM CDT, emergency management reported flash flooding across 

  the warned area. Between 3 and 6 inches of rain have fallen.



  HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Heavy rain producing

           flash flooding.



  SOURCE...Emergency management reported.



  IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,

           urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.



* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...

  Wichita, Derby, Andover, Haysville, Bel Aire, Mulvane, Rose Hill, 

  Maize, Douglass, Downtown Wichita, Eastborough, Mcconnell Air 

  Force Base, South Wichita, East Wichita, Northeast Wichita, 

  Eisenhower National Airport, West Wichita, Oaklawn, Jabara Airport 

  and Augusta Municipal Airport.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly two 

feet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around, don't 

drown.



Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 

dangers of flooding.



Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
