The National Weather Service in the Quad Cities has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
  Northern Warren County in west central Illinois...
  Southeastern Mercer County in northwestern Illinois...

* Until 115 PM CDT.

* At 1236 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing both
  tornadoes and extensive straight line wind damage were located
  along a line extending from near Burgess to Alexis to Lake Warren,
  moving southeast at 30 mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely.

* These dangerous storms will be near...
  Monmouth, North Henderson, Alexis, Coldbrook, Monmouth Municipal 
  Airport, and Gerlaw around 1240 PM CDT.
  Cameron around 1245 PM CDT.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest
floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a
mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter
and protect yourself from flying debris.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
