  Canal MI 5NM off shore to the US/Canadian border including Isle 
  Royale National Park...
  Lake Superior from Upper Entrance to Portage Canal to Manitou 
  Island MI 5NM off shore to the US/Canadian Border...

At 715 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable
of producing winds to around 30 knots and small hail. These
thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 29 nm
northeast of Thunder Bay Ontario to 11 nm northwest of Mott Island
Park Headquarters to 17 nm east of Rock of Ages Light, moving east at
15 knots.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor
immediately until these storms pass.

Intense lightning is occurring with these storms. If caught on the
open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded
metal objects.
