A Marine Weather Statement has been issued for the following areas...
  Breton Sound...
  Chandeleur Sound...
  Coastal Waters from Boothville LA to Southwest Pass of the 
  Mississippi River out 20 nm...
  Coastal waters from Pascagoula Mississippi to Stake Island out 20 
  NM...

At 1008 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated a cluster of strong
thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots and weak
waterspouts. This cluster of thunderstorms is generally located 21 nm
south of Chandeleur Sound, moving northeast at 5 knots.

Mariners can expect widespread gusty winds to around 30 knots, higher
waves and dangerous lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe
harbor immediately until this activity passes.

Brief, weak waterspouts are possible with this activity. Remain on
alert in case warnings are issued for waterspout development.

Nearshore waters from Avon Point OH to Conneaut OH...
Open waters from Avon Point OH to Geneva-on-the-lake OH...

At 1142 PM EDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 9 nm west of Geneva-On-The-Lake to near Fairport
Harbor to 14 nm northwest of Willowick, moving southeast at 30 knots.

HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and 
         suddenly higher waves.

Locations impacted include...
Geneva-On-The-Lake, Willowick, Fairport Harbor, and Cleveland.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move to safe harbor immediately as gusty winds and high waves are
expected.
