...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM OVER THE WATERS...

The areas affected include...
Gulf Waters from East Cape Sable to Chokoloskee 20 to 60 nm out and
beyond 5 fathoms...

At 1155 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a a strong thunderstorm,
capable of producing wind gusts near 30 knots. This thunderstorm was
located 11 nm southwest of D Tower, moving northwest at 5 knots.

The strong thunderstorm will remain over mainly open waters.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Prepare for thunderstorms with wind gusts near 30 knots, locally
rough and confused seas, occasional lightning strikes, and
potentially blinding downpours. Get to a safe port as quickly, and as
safely as possible. When downpours reduce visibility, slow down.

...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM OVER THE WATERS... 

A marine weather statement has been issued for the open coastal 
waters of southeastern louisiana from Port Fourchon to Lower 
Atchafalaya River out 60 NM. 

At 1054 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated isolated to scattered showers 
and thunderstorms over the waters capable of producing weak 
waterspouts. These showers and thunderstorms are moving generally 
southeastward around 5-10 knots.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Dangerous lightning strikes and brief, weak waterspouts are possible
with this activity. Remain on alert in case warnings are issued for
waterspout development.
