...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS APPROACHING THE WATERS...

At 541 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable 
of producing winds in excess of 50 knots. These thunderstorms were 
located along a line extending from 59 nm southwest of The Mouth Of 
The Saginaw River to 44 nm west of Wyandotte to 35 nm northwest of 
Luna Pier to 47 nm west of North Cape, moving east at 45 knots.

  Elizabeth Park Marina, Grosse Ile, Detroit Beach, and Gibraltar 
  around 635 PM EDT.

Other locations impacted by strong thunderstorms include Woodland
Beach, Stony Point, Gibraltar, Estral Beach, and Detroit Beach.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds in excess of 50 knots, locally 
higher waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor 
immediately until these storms pass.

These strong thunderstorms will likely produce winds in excess of 34
knots, and is likely to pose a serious hazard for boaters. A special
marine warning will likely be required when these strong
thunderstorms reach the nearshore waters. Boaters should consider
heading for shore before these strong thunderstorms arrive.
