...A SPECIAL MARINE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 530 AM CDT...

For the following areas...
Lake Pontchartrain...

At 444 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing waterspouts
was located near The Mid Point Of The Causeway Bridge, moving north
at 45 knots.

HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts in excess of 50 knots.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Waterspouts can quickly form and capsize boats...damage 
         vessels and oil rigs...and create suddenly higher waves. 
         Boats could suffer significant structural damage in high 
         winds. Small craft could capsize in suddenly higher waves.

Locations impacted include...
Mandeville, The Mid Point Of The Causeway Bridge, Madisonville, and
Kenner.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 600 AM CDT for southeastern
Louisiana...and the adjacent coastal waters.

Dangerous high winds, waterspouts and suddenly higher waves are
expected! Boaters should avoid waterspouts and never try to navigate
near them. Seek shelter or move to safe harbor immediately!
