* Special Marine Warning for...
  Waters from Cape Hatteras to Ocracoke Inlet NC from 20 to 60 NM...
  Waters from Ocracoke Inlet to Cape Lookout NC from 20 to 60 NM...
  Waters from Oregon Inlet to Cape Hatteras NC from 20 to 60 NM...

* Until 1000 AM EDT.

* At 801 AM EDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing
  waterspouts were located along a line extending from 29 nm
  southeast of Diamond Shoals to 44 nm south of Monitor Marine
  Sanctuary, moving southeast at 5 knots.

  HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts to 40 knots.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally 
           hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly 
           higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

* Severe thunderstorms will remain over mainly open waters.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until these storms pass.
Wind gusts to 40 knots, high waves, dangerous lightning, and heavy
rain are possible with these storms.

Thunderstorms can produce sudden waterspouts. Waterspouts can easily
overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Seek safe harbor
immediately.
