  Sandy Hook NJ to Fire Island Inlet NY out 60 NM...
  Fire Island Inlet to Moriches Inlet NY out 20 NM...
  New York Harbor...

At 1137 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable
of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were
located along a line extending from 9 nm west of South Amboy to near
Cliffwood Beach to near Fair Haven to Sea Girt Reef, moving northeast
at 55 knots.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor
immediately until these storms pass.

These strong thunderstorms will likely produce winds to around 30
knots, and could pose a serious hazard for boaters. A special marine
warning may eventually be required when these strong thunderstorms
reach the nearshore waters. Boaters should consider heading for shore
before these strong thunderstorms arrive.

Report severe weather to the Coast Guard or nearest law enforcement
agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service
forecast office.
