...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM MST THIS EVENING
FOR YAVAPAI COUNTY...

At 434 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms decreasing in
coverage over the warned area, mainly east of Cordes Junction.
Between 1.5 and 3 inches of rain have fallen since 230 PM over the
Agua Fria basin north of Cordes. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.25
to 0.50 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is
ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
         flash flooding.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
         normally dry washes, urban areas, highways, streets and
         underpasses.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Cordes Lakes, Agua Fria National Monument and Arcosanti.

This includes Interstate 17 between mile markers 264 and 273.

This includes the following creeks, washes and rivers...
  Agua Fria River, Osborne Spring Wash, Little Ash Creek, Yarber
  Wash, Dry Creek, Big Bug Creek, Ash Creek, Indian Creek, Sycamore
  Creek and Brushy Wash.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Flooding of washes and creeks will occur, some dirt roads will become
muddy and impassable. Paved roads and underpasses could become
flooded as well.

Low water crossings will become dangerous in heavy rain. Do not
attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route.

5 PM MST THIS AFTERNOON FOR COCONINO COUNTY...

Flood waters continue to recede at Supai, with the flood wave
reaching the Colorado River. High water may continue to pose a risk
for a few more hours. Please continue to use caution in this area and
stay away from Havasu Creek.
