* Until 545 AM EDT.

* At 420 AM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near Atlas Tanker,
  moving southeast at 10 knots.

  HAZARD...Wind gusts to 40 knots and small hail.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and 
           suddenly higher waves.

* Locations impacted include...
  Atlas Tanker, 14 Buoy, Northwest Places, The Knuckle Buoy, Big Ten
  Fathom, and Ar285.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until this storm passes.
Wind gusts to 40 knots, small hail, high waves, dangerous lightning,
and heavy rain are possible with this storm.

Frequent lightning is occurring with this storm. If caught on the
open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded
metal objects.

  extending from 37 nm southeast of Monitor Marine Sanctuary to 49 nm
  southeast of Diamond Shoals to 48 nm east of Atlas Tanker, moving
  southeast at 10 knots.

  HAZARD...Wind gusts to 40 knots and small hail.
